Client was contacted by Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group, LLC (HRRG) in an attempt to collect an unowed medical debt. The collector used various means of threats and coercion in an attempt to force the client to pay this debt. More specifically, HRRG threatened that the client was over her coverage limit, which she was not. In another instance, HRRG tried to set up a payment plan. During these telephone calls, HRRG used to demeaning language in an attempt to coerce her to pay this unowed debt. All of these actions are in violations of the FDCPA. Thus, Attorney Jason Shear was able to obtain a confidential settlement for the client.
